Beach Hair, Don't Care

Up and at ‘em! We got up at 5:15 am and we at the beach by 6:30. It was almost too late because the sky was already beautiful! We got out there and got photos. We got super lucky and had Phyllis Burchette, photographer extraordinaire come with us. She got some great shots for us. Dan was being a little bit nervous and anxious, so after a little bit of him being fidgety, I just got on. And it helped. Like usual, he has to move his feet to get oxygen to his brain. So we did some trotting and cantering and that helped. He settled and we had a great time. He was somewhat cooperative for photos. After a bit we headed back home so they could eat breakfast and so could we. We gave them a quick bath and turned them out. Luckily Dan had his fly sheet in the trailer, because…. Despite it being December, it was 70 degrees and the gnats, mosquitos, and flies are out. And he rolled but his fly sheet stayed in place. Phew!

Then we went back for sunset photos. And… we took our wedding dresses! SOOOO FUN! It was really kind of cool. Phyllis took some amazing photos!! We left our phones at the trailer because…. No pockets in wedding dresses. 😊 Then we did a dress change and took some more photos. And then we ran out of daylight. But Dan was much more chill and relaxed this afternoon. I think he was a little tired from running with Funny all night, keeping her away from Fleck, and then the hauling yesterday and then being out with Indi in a new place…. I doubt he’s slept. But he seemed like “oh, this is what we do.. I’m a model now”!.  Hee hee. Good pony! And so far, he hasn’t pooped on the beach yet! Just at the trailer. 😊 Score! So yep, fun day and we’ll get back up early again for sunrise photos tomorrow and then tomorrow afternoon we’ll go ride down the beach and play.
