Friday: Truck made it... but ran a little hot without the heat/vent on. settled in, schooled... hard on the terrain. Slept with the windows open
Sat: wild coming out of his stall, warmed up okay but on tough slick terrain.... dressage lovely except for the downwards... then rain...so much rain.... got studded and tacked up and the torrential rain with rapids.... then moved the course.. then rode..maniac in warm up... couldn't get out of peoples way.. then settled.... good on course, but slid into one fence... Yay for riding through it and he was game. good confidence boost instead of not so good. More rain..... more rain.....
Sun: no rain overnight other than a little... no rain today... bigger studs. warmed up quietly and on point over 3 fences.... spooked at 30 s countdown, maybe at truck and trailer stuck in mud.. maybe not. Spooked and jumped 1 and 2...then downhill to steeplechase fence... run out.... barely over 2nd attempt.. then almost stopped at up bank because so ADD and spooky.. barely over B of up bank... got over 5... then pulled him to a trot and told him to get his shit together before they pulled us off course... and the beast mode the rest of the way... rocked and rolled..
no qaulifying score... :( sigh....
goofy boy.. made friends with neighbors who weren't scared of him...
