The weather was not super cooperative today. We debated doing a sunrise ride but we knew that it might be rainy. So I got up and checked but it was definitely looking rainy, so we just tossed the boys some hay and went back to sleep for a bit. It ended up only drizzling for a little bit so after lunch we went out for a ride.
It was fun. The beach was MUCH less crowded today as it was dreary. But still fairly pleasant weather. We did a little trotting and cantering but mostly walked and explored. We went back to the boneyard and jumped a tiny bit. Our fun jump was still there but it was much smaller today because of the timing of the tide. We also found some big tide pools, including one with almost a river in it. We had fun cantering and splashing through it. It was really foamy today too. The boys were being silly with the foam floating around. The wind was really sending it flying at times. Hee hee.
For dinner we went to Dockside, which was delicious. I'm not sure who has better she crab soup... dockside or Johnson Creek Tavern. And both had amazing cornbread too! SOOOO buttery!
