Pony Rides

I couldn't help it! Mike was gone all day and the weather was... kind of nice. It started out sunny but then became overcast but then the sun tried to peek out. So I decided to take Dan for a spin around the neighborhood. I figured if he was good and calm, we could take Funny out for a short spin for her 20 min handwalk. So off we went. 

Dan was good but on the muscle. He didn't spook but was a little looky at the big inflatable ghost the neighbors had. Hee hee. Your sister wasn't scared! We headed on and went past the lake and I decided to let him trot in the field by the tennis courts to feel him out. And granted, he had 2 grams of bute yesterday but that was over 24 hours ago and he hadn't gotten anymore. And he felt sound. He was very much on the muscle though... and a little on the forehand. But we trotted and cantered. He was a little resistant to bending right, but I think that was more due to silliness and distractions than not wanting to bend specifically. So we played a little and then continued on our path. He maintained his good behavior so we headed back home and picked up Funny. 

They did well together and to keep it short for her we just headed to the lake and back. He was much braver looking at the ghost with her so we got our Halloween photos. :) Then we came home and I still had time to spread weed killer in the pasture. :)
