the anatomical headstall is a no go. smooshes against his eyes. So, back to the drawing board. went back in the fleece lined cinch which is better for girthing at least.
felt decent today. had a good ride. did the drums and he was amazing so didn't drill them! did the gate and reverse gate. played with bend and circles and turn on the forehand and haunches and halts. lift into the halts. so they aren't as abrupt. did canter both ways. Left lead felt way better today than the right, interestingly. leg yielded.
good pony.
iced after. Meh... they don't seem to want to stay up high enough and didn't make his leg very cold.. but i only left them on for 10 minutes... Will try again.
tomorrow.. practicing obstacles with Kirsten and judy at oxford manor.
