Sara came yesterday. Agreed right front. Pulled shoe. hoof tested. no soreness or reactivity. Slight tiny bruise but no response to mashing it. Fine on heel bulbs. Used infrared camera and found nothing anywhere. Noted standing laterally....
tweaked trim and shoes and replaced. saran wrapped. No tantrun while he waited. hmmmm...licking and chewing. Much improved at the trot afterwards. not as braced in his shoulders and neck, but still a little head bob but better.
This am lunged in round pen and sound! Stretching down and lifting his back. lovely!
Opted to go to ashland. Got a lovely short ride in the dressage arena. Sound, happy, reaching... w/t/c.. then walked out of arena and noticed short striding. put on bareback pad, still short striding. headed to lake. trotted and lame on hard ground but sound on soft grass. but still short striding. WAHHHHHHHH
didn't want to splash or play in the lake. Got back and was pissed off and pouty too. :(
Have vet appt thursday with keelin. Adjusted today and bemered (also bemered last night) and got great releases. Hind end feels fantastic!!! Can't find anything in front that would be a problem, though.. maybe a hair bursitis.. maybe collaterals :( :( :( NOOOOOOOO.. praying to God to fix him because I'm not ready to give up yet. Still no heat or sensitivity. Packed foot with green jelly poultice and wrapped and we shall see.
