Since Danomitey was lame yesterday I decided perhaps it would be best if I didn't take him to my lesson. Which was a tough call because I did shockwave him... and I did want to pick Kelly's brain and see if she thought it was stifle or scapula or back or neck... But I decided that maybe I could take him next weekend and not push it and give him a little bit of a breather, so I took Funny. Which meant that instead of taking Funny to trail ride with Sharon and Baylor after our lesson, I took Dan. I guess I could have taken Lyric too but I figured Dan would benefit from a nice long hack and he likes Baylor. So that's what we did.
I rode bareback and we mostly just walked. We did a tiny bit of trotting on the gallop track and he felt pretty good. At the end of our ride we went to the cross country field so I could do a little bit more trotting. I also told Sharon I would video her so she could compare her saddle fit to the last video. So Dan snacked while I recorded her and then she watched while I trotted Dan. She said she thought he looked pretty good but maybe a hair head bobby at times. He definitely felt much better today compared to yesterday. She thought that he looked more lame up front I think... which is good because I was pretty sure it was right hind yesterday, so yay for shockwave. But looking at the video, I can't tell. He did feel a bit sluggish.. like I had to keep asking him instead of him offering it up. But maybe it's just because he was hot. Or not in the mood. I don't know. No tongue though, so yay for that!
Then we headed home. And oh, I did catch him and lead him in with the chain today. Mostly because I didn't have time to play games, but.. he was good and didn't try anything. I gave him pets and a cookie at the gate as a reward for not tearing off.
