Doubling Down

 Did a tiny bit of pillar work and lunge. Quit early to get groomed for Peri to come pulse. Peri didn't come. After working Lyric, worked Dan again.

Happy and walking normally. Playful a bit. Trotted great on the lunge. Still holding neck slightly to the outside both directions, but happy pony. Blowing bubbles. Trotted over pole on the ground nicely too. 

Silly boy. I think he's happy to be back "in work".

today, much happier. playing with the tractor.

Flirting with Funny. Got peed on! Literally! Then cantered a few strides and trotted a few. So yay! Progress!

Sexy Rexy Feets

 New kicks! Bit the bullet and am trying for barefoot. But first.. glue ons'... likely for 8 months! GAH! They aren't cheap. But... hopefully he'll fare better for it.

But he's super sore. And depressed. He was so happy yesterday and I totally get it. He feels icky today. And I can't give him bute. BUT... he'll feel better in a few days (I hope) and then he'll be glad we did it. And it's good timing. I hope. I keep telling myself these things as I really hope I didn't make a bad choice. 

He at least felt well enough to play a little this afternoon. And we did some pillar work in the round pen for a tiny bit.

Guess who's back.. back again...

 God willing.... but today... Dan galloped!! And on the right lead! And even swapped from the left to the right. (late behind, but... we're not DQ's ..yet!). I may have squealed!!!

 

 

I'm being good. He's getting his week off to just... let the neck injections do their thing and let him recalibrate. I did the teeniest bit of pillar work today walking him from the one pasture to the gate to the middle pasture and then to the gate to the third pasture. He's getting the hang of pillar 3. :) And the boy is obsessed with cookies now. Creeper. ;) We got home from dinner late and I opened the door and turned on the lights and... was met with this. I, of course, happily obliged with cookies!

palpation much improved. not angsty

plan: Alpha 2 M, inject neck, sarapin and ket in nerve roots

Plan: one week for weirdness, then 3-4 weeks lunging, then get on and "see what he wants to do". :) Because.... "this horse wants it". :) :) :)
