Today was a Mike day. We had beignets for breakfast!! Yummy! Now that we have the fryer it's so easy to perfect them. And then we went for a long motorcycle ride in the countryside. So by the time we got home it was hot again. But, I lunged all 3 ponies. Dan went first. I was soooo tempted to go ride him, but... we will ride tomorrow. I was lazy and just lunged him in the roundpen today. I figured that was less likely to cause repeat shenanigans again too. And he was pretty good. He grabbed the lead rope a few times but he knows he can't really get away so... he kind of quit trying. Sorry sir!
He lunged nicely and we even did a little canter work. On purpose! We finished again with some rapid fire walk to trot to walk transitions. He really is quite good at lunging when he's not playing and acting a fool. Like, he was on it with the voice commands for walk and trot. Good pony!
Afterwards he had some nice butt foam and was fairly sweaty. He got to graze in the lane and got a good rinse off. So.. tomorrow, we play! (Keep your shoes on!).
